My Licid Dream

My Lucid Dream

The most significant aspect of this dream was the intense feeling of joy that lasted throughout the entire dream and throughout my entire day.

I started the dream riding in a bus. When I looked out the window, I realized I was looking at The Bronx of the 1950’s. In the 50’s the streets of The Bronx were tree lined. Today, they look like a war zone. I immediately thought, "this is not right, The Bronx of the 50’s is long gone," but I didn’t wake up. I got off the bus at the next stop and started gapping at all the beautiful cars, the spotless street, the blue sky and sunshine. OK, it was better than The Bronx of the 50’s or perhaps the very best parts of it. I headed to my favorite pizza parlor where slices were 15 cents. When I arrived, everybody was gulping down big slices like they had died and gone to Heaven. Then I realized the music I was hearing was the same line from some old tune "Heaven, you're In Heaven..."

I asked if anybody knew what year it was and a couple of girls said "yea, yea, we know all about that, but TASTE THIS PIZZA!" Just then a beautiful classic 50’s blond came in and sat down beside me. I noticed that I was wearing a nice suit from the 50"s; I fit right in. I told her, "I love the 50’s, the cars, the food, and especially the women." She put her arm around me and right then, I knew I had to be dreaming.

If you have seen the movie, Defending you Life with Meryl Streep, you may remember how people spent a few days in Judgement City right after dyeing. Everybody in the movie is blown away by how delicious all the food tastes. This and the music that was playing are strong hints as to where I had arrived, but probably, it was just a dream {:^)
